Canadian travellers will soon need extra documents to visit 30 popular tourist destinations in Europe. The European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) will be required for Canadians and other visa-exempt countries who want to travel within the European Union to countries such as France, Greece, Italy, Portugal, and Switzerland. The United Kingdom is not included under the new policy following its withdrawal from the EU in 2020.The application can be completed on the ETIAS website or mobile app and will cost 7 Euros – or about $10 Canadian. Most applications will be processed within a few minutes.“Generally it will be your name, your passport number which will be the big key …some details like your address, where you’re going, how long your staying, who you’re staying with, that type of thing,” Wayne Smith, a professor at the Ted Rogers School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Toronto Metropolitan University tells CityNews. ...Facing legal peril, Trump calls on GOP to rally around him as he threatens primary challenges

NEW YORK (AP) — At a moment of growing legal peril, Donald Trump ramped up his calls for his GOP rivals to drop out of the 2024 presidential race as he threatened to primary Republican members of Congress who fail to focus on investigating Democratic President Joe Biden and urged them to halt Ukrainian military aid until the White House cooperates with their investigations into Biden and his family.“Every dollar spent attacking me by Republicans is a dollar given straight to the Biden campaign,” Trump said at a rally in Erie, Pennsylvania, on Saturday night. The former president and GOP front-runner said it was time for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and others he dismissed as “clowns” to clear the field, accusing them of “wasting hundreds of millions of dollars that Republicans should be using to build a massive vote-gathering operation” to take on Biden in November. The comments came two days after federal prosecutors unveiled new criminal charges against Trump as part of the case that ...TTC changing subway wait times at night on both Line 1 and 2

The TTC is altering wait times for nighttime subway service on both Line 1 and Line 2 starting this week as part of a series of updated route and service changes.Starting Monday, the wait time between trains from 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. Monday to Friday on both the Yonge-University and Bloor-Danforth lines will be five minutes, an increase of one minute from the current wait time. After 10 p.m., the wait time between trains on Yonge-University will also be five minutes, a change of two minutes from the current standard, while the wait time between trains on the Bloor-Danforth line will be up to six minutes.Transit advocate groups say one minute might not sound like much but any delay creates a ripple effect which means a longer wait time overall and may cause riders to miss possible surface connections, which could mean an additional 15 or 20-minute wait for the next bus or streetcar due to previous cuts made on those routes. No reason was given for the changes but the transit agency has...Woman killed, 8 others injured in shooting at party in North Lawndale overnight

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - The U.S. Geological Survey has a morbid request: they want you to mail in deceased butterflies, moths, and skippers if you live in one of six states.According to the USGS, the pilot program hopes to collect specimens that can help "identify contaminants and environmental factors which may be contributing to the decline of insect populations." said USGS. "There are some questions that can't effectively be answered without help from a lot of people. It's what makes citizen science so special and valuable,” said Julie Dietze, USGS scientist-in-charge of the effort. "Collections like this one are important because they have the potential to provide scientists now, and 20 years from now, access to specimens." It may look stunning, but officials want you to kill this bug if you see it "Citizen scientists" have been submitting their butterflies, moths, and skippers since April, but based on how many specimens have been received, collections may continue through Nov...ATCEMS: 4 dead following rollover collision in south Austin
