Jared Polis declared Oct. 7, 2023, to be "Patrick Stewart Day" in the Centennial State, in honor of acclaimed British actor Sir Patrick Stewart.Polis announced the news Saturday morning on X (formerly Twitter), complete with images of Stewart and the official proclamation. BELLEVILLE, Ill. - One person is dead after a shooting Saturday in Belleville, according to the Belleville Police Department. Police responded to the shooting around noon near First Street and West B Street. When they arrived, they learned the victim had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. ST. LOUIS - Three suspects carjacked a pizza delivery driver at gunpoint Friday evening in north St. Louis and remain on the run. The carjacking happened around 10 p.m. Friday in the 900 block of Nassau Drive in the city's Baden neighborhood. While attempting to call again, three armed suspects approached his car and ordered him out of the vehicle.
