CAPITAL REGION, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Capital Region districts are just days away from school out for summer. For some families, summer doesn’t equal beach vibes and fun times — it brings anxiety wondering how to feed kids without their school breakfast and lunch. "The need is still consistent, and it’s not going anywhere," says Autumn Wallace, a high school teacher and co-coordinator for the Mohonasen Central School District summer feeding program.NEWS10 visited the Mohon food distribution center where more than 30 boxes were packed, ready to hand to families who've signed up this year. Wallace says this is more families than they'd served before the pandemic and adds the pandemic-era funding made some things easier. "They were really working on trial by fire and figuring things out as they went—like we all were," she explains of Mohon's regular food pickups during remote learning. "Then again once we were in regular school, especially that first year or so, every kid got free breakfast...Final game checks pulled from Empire players, coaches' accounts

Leggett says he has reached out to Empire owner Antonio Brown's accountant, Alex Gunaris, but has been unable to reach him. NEWS10 has also reached out to Gunaris, and we have not yet heard back. This comes after the Empire were kicked out of the National Arena League for not paying their league assessments. The Warriors didn’t win the NBA championship and don’t have the top pick in Thursday’s NBA Draft. But Golden State stole the conversation on Draft day by agreeing to acquire Chris Paul from the Washington Wizards in a trade that would send dynamic guard Jordan Poole back to the nation’s capital.Even with generational superstar Victor Wembanyama’s likely selection by the San Antonio Spurs set to come on Thursday, ESPN’s coverage building up to the draft gave significant time to the Warriors-Wizards trade.JJ Redick said he was “fascinated” by the move, especially in the way that Paul will pair up with Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and coach Steve Kerr’s preferred style of offense.“The Warriors are a team that has thrived on body and ball movement — Steph has described their style of play as ‘chaotic,’” Redick said. “Then you think about Chris Paul, how methodical, how controlled, how organized he is.
